I am currently a PhD candidate in Genetics at Stanford University 🌲, with a BS in Computer Science from Télécom Paris 👩🏻💻 and an MS in Computer Engineering from Columbia University 🦁. After working on large-scale distributed systems at Microsoft, a personal health journey inspired me to pivot toward computational biology, where I now combine machine learning and genomics to advance our understanding of cellular function 🧬 🚀.
My research focuses on developing interpretable DNA sequence-based AI models to: a) elucidate, and b) emulate the molecular machinery of living cells. Specifically, I am fascinated by the incredible complexity with which the non-coding genome regulates gene expression, and very interested in using glass-box ML models to learn the syntax of this complex organization, layer by layer. I am fortunate to be advised by Professors Anshul Kundaje and Hani Goodarzi.
